For New CNAs

Start working immediately – even if you haven’t yet taken or passed the CO state CNA exam!

Offered exclusively by HomeCare of the Rockies, the HC-100 Advanced Placement (AP) Program was designed specifically with new CNAs in mind.

As an HC-100 AP Caregiver, you’ll gain direct care experience working with seniors one-on-one in private homes or in clinical settings in the greater Boulder area.

Benefits of becoming an HC-100 AP Caregiver

  • Get fast-tracked through the first three modules of our HomeCare 100 Caregiver training program.
  • Receive valuable (paid) training in dementia care, hospice care, and caregiver leadership taught by industry-leading educators.
  • Earn a Certificate of Completion in the prestigious HC-100 Professional Caregiver Training Program (the only one of its kind in the US).
  • Start at $15 per hour and earn $17 once required training is completed.

Who should apply

  • CNAs who have completed a certified CNA training course within the last 24 months but haven’t yet passed or taken the CO state CNA exam.
  • CNAs who want to work now while also adding to their professional training.

HC-100 AP Requirements

  • Complete the required demonstration of skills and labs within the first 90 days of employment
  • Attend our 4-hour Orientation and pass the background check, drug screening, and other verifications
  • Attend additional (paid) training in dementia, hospice care, and caregiver leadership
  • Be available to work at least 20 hours a week
